Blake Lively stepped out in New York earlier this week to promote her latest film Savages on The Late Show with David Letterman. Emerging from her car looking effortless in a light pink dress embellished with a crystal neckline.

A self confessed fashion enthusiast, the former Gossip Girl star, teamed her wrap style dress with stunning metallic Christain Louboutins and a striking cocktail ring. Hair was left tousled whilst her make up was muted and subtle, showing her natural beauty.

Admittedly Blake is known to prefer to style herself as a form of self expression, putting her own stamp on her look.

The Royal Ascot begins today, the ultimate stage for the best racehorses in the world and one of Britain’s biggest events on the social calendar each year! However, fashion also plays a big part in the event with all spectators getting dressed up for the occasion wanting to get a place on the best dressed lists. This year there has been commotion over a new set of rules which have been introduced to all spectators who must follow a new strict ‘dress code’. The list includes a ban on all strapless and sheer strap dresses, and to enforce this, a team of trained ‘fashion police’ will be on hand to give out pashminas to those who don’t follow the rules!

 Another shock was the rule that no fascinators were allowed to be worn by women spectators, and that only hats should be worn or a headpiece with a base of four inches or more in diameter would be seen as acceptable. Were sure that this will have called for a lot of outfit changes amongst people going to Ascot as these are usually a favourite accessory! Dresses have also been asked to be at a ‘modest’ length, just above the knee at the shortest. Here at HaveToLove, we think that this is an acceptable rule so that everyone looks sophisticated and stylish!
