Key trends this season include garments inspired by 70’s style with a use of suede. Designers who used this iconic 70’s fabric this season include Balmain with statement skirts and belts as well as Alberta Ferretti who used the fabric to create geometric dresses and tops. Another key trend this year, which has been prevalent for a few seasons, now is fridge. A modern twist on a trend from the 1920’s Jazz era and the 1970’s festival and hippy style. Used in Edun’s Spring Summer 2016 collection on pockets and hems and in Givenchy collection as a statement on a dress.
