On Monday, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in LA, the Oscars annual lunch event, celebrating the 88th Oscars, attracted about 150 people, the majority being award nominees.
This included Leonardo Dicaprio, Lady Gaga, Matt Damon and Jennifer Lawrence. With the Oscars now just under three weeks away, campaigning is now getting serious. Lady Gaga arrived fresh from her super bowl performance and gave a warming wave to the camera as they were all positioned for the annual lunch photograph.
Leonardo Dicaprio is in line for best actor, up against Sylvester Stallone. ‘The weeknd’ has also been nominated for his hit song ‘Earned it’ from the film ‘50 shades of grey’. However, the Oscar awards still seem to be causing controversy due to the uproar over the lack of black talent within the contest.
The havetolove lowdown on last nights fantastic Golden Globe awards LA...
Jennifer Lawrence stunned in a bold red custom Dior cut-away floor length dress, with crop effect front and backless detail. Another beautiful cut away gown was worn by Kate Hudson, dressed in a shimmering flesh coloured style with neck feature, bandeau top and a floor length skirt all connected at the back. Kate Winslet kept it simple in a dark blue halterneck Ralph Lauren Dress with floor to knee split.
Rooney Mara opted for a classic Alexander McQueen pale pink style with ruffles and lace complete with subtle cut-aways. Jennifer Lopez opted for a simple pleated design from Giambattista Valli with a simple caplet over her shoulders whilst kept her jewellery and sparkling clutch & shoes the focus.
Kate Bosworth looked striking in a strapless Dolce & Gabbana ditsy floral gown with glittering embellishment. Katy Perry stood out in a floor length dusky pink plunging dress finished with pretty bow detail on the back. Lady Gaga threw it back to the old school with a Marilyn Monroe inspired look, complete with hairstyle. The dress was black and fitted with beautifully moulded details around the bust and hips.

There were some stunning looks on the red carpet last night, from Versace to Vera Wang, the celebs wowed in wondrous gowns. With winners such as Cate Blanchett scooping up the award for Best Actress and Matthew Mcconaughey for Best Actor, the night was a big success. However in our eyes the biggest successes were our three favourite looks on these ladies.
Sandra Bullock smouldered in her curve hugging, Alexander McQueen, strapless gown. Lupita Nyong'o brought a breath of spring to the red carpet in her floating, pastel blue, Prada gown. Finally Jennifer Lawrence showed pure elegance and sophistication in her simple yet stunning, red strapless, Dior gown.
Our four favourite females at The Golden Globes each brought something else to the table. Emma Watson is probably the only woman we know who could pull off a full length, completely backless, red Dior gown accompanied by a pair of dark cropped trousers underneath. She arrived looking relatively safe compared to usual...and then she turned around and the press paid a lot more attention!
Kate Beckinsale looked show stopping, showing off her tiny waist in a Zuhair Murad Couture gown either with a gleaming smile to match.
Jennifer Lawrence also sported Dior. A very elegant white gown with black detailing from the Autumn/winter 2013 collection which caught a lot of attention as she accepted her award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in 'American Hustle'.
