As an avid juicer and since its January (detoxing time) I have had a few requests for my recipe so I thought I would share my recipe with you.
The important thing to do when juicing is to never replace a meal with a juice. I have a green juice everyday, often just before my breakfast. A good way at getting fluids into your body first thing and green juice is the best at stripping those flabby areas. Living a fast paced lifestyle we don’t often have our 5 a day and juicing daily will help you achieve this. Green juicing is perfect for aiding your immune system, giving you energy to start your day, improving digestion and kick starting your metabolism.
To make green juice…(use organic where possible)
You will need a nutribullet or equivalent
- Add a handful of spinach
- One green apple
- A teaspoon of wheatgrass (Wheatgrass is a source of protein and health claims include general well-being to cancer prevention).
- Half a teaspoon of matcha (To find out the benefits of matcha read my matcha blog here).
- 1/4 inch of ginger root
- Fill the nutribullet up with mineral water or unsweetened almond milk and blend.
