Street Style is used as inspiration to forecast fashion trends and there is no better way to see what we will be wearing for the season ahead. Take a look at the street style trends from the Fash Pack at New York and London Fashion Week and how to style the newest must-have trends…
From Christian Dior’s ‘We should all be feminists’ tee to Sacai’s ‘Fashion is a Passion.’ the slogan tee is all the rage again. My fave has got to be from the king of the Slogan tee, Henry Holland…’Suck on my toe Phoebe Philo’ and ‘I would get on all fours for Michael Kors…’
Style tip: Tuck it in!
Think Mossy the bossy (Kate Moss) inspired 90’s look in a transparent slip, with only knickers underneath. From Tuille to sheer fabrics and Perspex trousers, from Erdem to Dolce & Gabbana it’s all about layering.
Style tip: Don’t leave your bra at home, it’s only a good look on the catwalk!
Pink to make the boys wink
From blush to fuschia, all shades of pink dominated every fashion week. Chanel Couture produced pretty prom style pink dresses and Balenciaga paired their pinks with purple spandex tights!
Style tip: Sugar coat your wardrobe and don’t be afraid to mix and match different shades of pink.
Moving on from sports luxe to Athlesuire, sportswear was particularly prominent at Milan Fashion Week. Versace teamed Jane Fonda like one suits with matching annoraks, Gucci teamed retro running leggings underneath tuille and floaty dresses. Street style saw fashionistas teaming hoodies with brocade suits.
Style tip: invest in sporty silhouettes in feminine fabrics such a lace bomber jacket
Get shirty
Whether it is deconstructed or has oversized fluted sleeves, the shirt is the must-have item this season. The more ruffles the better, like this Victoriana one. Jacquememus sculpted tiered sleeves on their shirts and Dolce & Gabanna added OTT ruffles.
Style tip: Invest in a pin stripe navy or plain white shirt this season.
