What happens to my points if I make a return?

When you return an item, you lose the associated credit you originally earned by buying the item in the first place.
Sound kind of confusing? Let's take an example: let's say you had previously spent $50 towards a 'spend $100, earn 500 points' promotion, and you decide to buy a $20 item, which bumps you up to $70. If you decide to return that item, your progress would also go back down to $50 – it's just like you hadn't bought the item in the first place.

Terms & Conditions


These terms and conditions set out the basis on which you can use our website and place orders for items from Have to Love online. By ordering goods from Have to Love  online you are deemed to have understood and accepted these terms.


The supplier of the goods featured is Have to Love, (“HTL”, “we”, or “us”). Our registered office is 3 Hawthorn Road, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE3 4DE and then take to your nearest Post Office. Our store address is 3 Hawthorn Road, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE3 4DE. You may contact us at this address, by email at or by telephone on 0191 213 1155.


HTL reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Your statutory rights are not affected.


Orders and Contract


Your order for goods is accepted and a contract is formed between HTL and you when we despatch the goods you have ordered and not before. A contract is not formed at the point in time that payment has been taken from you by HTL or any third party, nor at the point in time that you receive an email from HTL acknowledging receipt of your order.


Until the goods are despatched the order may not be accepted by HTL or may be cancelled by you.


Following formation of the contract, HTL shall continue to own any goods ordered until it has received payment in full from you, even though the goods may have already been delivered to you. Purchases from HTL online will be charged the day the goods are despatched/purchased in-store.


Cancelling your order


Under Consumer Regulations you have the right to cancel your order as long as you do so no later than 14 days after the day on which you receive the goods or service. You must inform us of your wish to cancel in writing either by letter, email or telephone call on 0191 213 1155 within a period of 14 days beginning on the day after the day you receive your goods.


You must take reasonable care of the goods and not use them. You should return goods to us in their original packaging, wherever possible, within 14 days of informing us of your wish to cancel. If you return goods to us, we will not be responsible for any loss or damage to them during transit and we recommend that you use a recorded or secure delivery method. If goods are lost or damaged in transit, we may charge you, or not refund to you, amounts that are attributable to the loss or damage.


We cannot accept substitute or alternative items by way of returns nor are we able to send them back to you, so please look closely at the items you return to us. If you return or attempt to return substitute or alternative items you will still be responsible for paying for the original item purchased and we reserve the right to charge an investigation fee of no less than £35 to cover the cost of our investigating the position. We can offset this amount due from other sums that may be due to you for refunds. Accepting returned goods and/or crediting an account does not constitute a waiver of our right to charge an investigation fee.


Delivery Charges


For England, Scotland & Wales, next day delivery charge to home is £4.99 per delivery. The next day delivery service applies on orders placed Monday to Friday before 2.00pm. Orders placed after 2.00pm may not be dealt with until the following day. Orders placed on a Saturday will not be sent out for delivery until Monday. Next day delivery is via Royal Mail and will typical take 24 hours to deliver. 


For England, Scotland & Wales, standard courier delivery charge to home is £3.99 per delivery. The standard delivery service applies on orders placed Monday to Saturday before 2.00pm. Order placed after 2.00pm may not be dealt with until the following day. Orders placed on a Saturday will be not be sent out for delivery until Monday. Standard delivery is via Hermes and will typically take 2-4 working days to deliver.  


All courier delivery services are subject to stock, courier area and availability and demand. When the standard courier service is not available, HTL will deliver by an alternative carrier and this may take longer. Delivery times cannot be guaranteed. No delivery services are available on a bank holiday. Delivery times cannot be guaranteed. Over our busy periods our standard delivery services may be affected.

  • If you select FREE shipping please allow sufficient time with free shipping
  • Delivery time is 3-4 working days processing time + shipping time.
  • Tracking link of your shipment will be sent to you via email once your order has been shipped.
  • You could cancel your order before we ship out your order.
  • We did not ship on Saturday, Sunday or Bank holidays.
  • Although we use reasonable means to make sure your delivery is delivered within a specified time, we cannot accept any responsibility for late deliveries due to circumstances out of our control. We will do our best to inform you of and unexpected delay.
  • Free shipping and regular airmail do not guarantee delivery time and it is subject to delay due to customs clearance.

You must confirm your delivery addresses on your online order. Delivery to an alternate address is not available.  We reserve the right to refuse a delivery to an alternative address.


Returning to a Store


You may return most items in a new and unused condition and wherever possible in the original packaging. This service is available to our Gosforth store and is free of charge.


Returns Via Courier


You may return most items in a new and unused condition and wherever possible in the original packaging. If you want to cancel/return your order you must tell us within 14 days (beginning on the day after the day you receive the goods), and you then have 14 days to return the items.

Returns received after the 14 day / 21 day time frame are accepted at the discretion of havetolove and can only be refunded with a 'store credit note' which can be used online or in store.

Jewellery purchased online through our website will need to be shipped back to us for return or exchange within 3 working days of receiving the item. Please note that we are unable to accept returns or exchanges on pierced earrings. Lingerie/ swimwear items purchased online can only be returned or exchanged within 7 days at the discretion of the management team. Please be aware that shoes must be returned in their original designer box. Shoes returned without their original boxes will not be accepted.

Please send all returns to Returns Department,, 3 Hawthorn Road, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne NE3 4DE. The product you return must be in new, unused, and unworn condition with all the original packaging and garment tags still attached. We do not accept any item with any indication that it was used. In such cases, the item will be returned to the purchaser.

If you wish to receive a refund we will re-credit the original purchaser's credit card for the sum paid less any taxes and duties and less the postal costs.

For all other returns it is advisable to send items by registered post and keep your proof of postage certificate, as we cannot be responsible for goods lost or damaged in transit. Please note that postal costs for returned goods are the customer’s responsibility and will be reimbursed by us only in the case of damaged, faulty or incorrectly supplied goods.

Customers' statutory rights are unaffected.
